Spring 2014 chose India, a new government has an economic agenda focused on growth, less bureaucracy and increased private investment. After a few years of sluggish economy is now growth is on the rise again, partly as a result of lower interest rates and simplified regulations. The new government has launched the "Make in India" - a campaign that aims to transform India into a global manufacturing center.
Business Sweden continuously monitors how Swedish companies work with their suppliers in India. In 2015 we did a more comprehensive study that mapped the critical factors and areas that are particularly interesting for Swedish companies that want cing from India. The study focuses on the sustainability aspects of sourcing and providing guidance on how to systematically work with the various components of CSR to achieve international, national, and organizations' own demands for sustainability. On 15 and 17 September, the Business Sweden in India to Sweden to present the results of the study.
